01Claiming & Payment

  • Claiming an item becomes binding once your payment reaches escrow. Complete payment within the time limit shown; past that limit, the claim is cancelled automatically.
  • For auctions: a bid is a commitment to buy. Winners who fail to pay may have their account restricted.

02Receiving & Confirming an Item

  • The Buyer MUST inspect the item carefully as soon as it arrives — condition, completeness, authenticity, and whether it matches the description and certificate — within a maximum of 48 hours (2×24 hours) from delivery (based on courier status). Inspecting thoroughly during this window is entirely the Buyer's responsibility.
  • If the item is as described, the Buyer must press "As Described — Confirm Receipt". The funds are then released to the Seller and the transaction is final.
  • If the item is not as described, the Buyer must request a refund using the "Not As Described — Request Refund" button on the Track page, with an explanation plus photo and video evidence, BEFORE the 48-hour window closes.
  • If there is neither a confirmation nor a complaint within 48 hours of delivery, the item is DEEMED ACCEPTED AS DESCRIBED, the funds are released to the Seller automatically, and the transaction is treated as complete. Any complaint, claim, or demand raised after that window closes cannot be processed and is not the responsibility of YourMarketplace.

03Complaints & Refunds

  • The item you receive must match the description, photos, condition, and certificate the Seller displayed on the Platform. Any mismatch is the Seller's responsibility, not a risk you have to absorb.
  • Request a refund using the "Not As Described — Request Refund" button on the Track page — BEFORE pressing "As Described — Confirm Receipt" and before the 48-hour window closes — with a detailed explanation plus photo evidence (required) and an unboxing video (required for every product).
  • An unbroken, uncut unboxing video is the strongest evidence there is; complaints without adequate evidence may be rejected.
  • While a complaint is under review the funds stay in escrow. If the complaint is upheld, you are refunded in full once the item has been returned to the Seller in the same condition. See our Refund Policy for the full process.
  • If a Seller is found to have deliberately given a false or misleading description (for example about condition, authenticity, or completeness), the Seller is penalised under the Penalties clause of the Seller Terms, in addition to refunding the Buyer in full.
  • The YourMarketplace decision on a complaint or refund — based on the available evidence — is final and binding on both parties within the Platform.

04What Is Not Covered

  • A change of taste, or picking the wrong size or variant when it was clearly stated in the description.
  • Damage caused by use after receipt was confirmed.
  • Deals made outside the YourMarketplace escrow system.
